An Honest Zoom Sketch

Don’t Panic let’s you in on what your colleagues are really thinking on those exasperating Zoom calls

At a time when lockdown has stunted our physical horizons, social isolation hasn’t impeded our creativity, so we decided it would be best to bring some much-needed levity to lockdown. It's fair to say this pandemic is changing every aspect of our lives, but one of the most frustrating has to be the work video-call. You thought your colleagues were annoying in the office, but nothing prepared you for how irritating they'd be over Zoom.Don't Panic's new comedy sketch “Honest Zoom Meeting” has absolutely no filter and captures what we're all really thinking when sat in one of these antagonising, laggy, pixelated meetings, where no-one listens and somehow everyone's right.

The entire sketch was written, acted and shot over Zoom in just one week by Jake Moss, with additional material from Joe Wade and the cast. It’s proof that even during a pandemic, relatable humour always cuts through. Not only did it notch up well over 100k views on Facebook, but a third of them watched for at least a minute, demonstrating that engaging content really does hold people’s attention for longer.
